    What is RITI?

    RITI is a regional non profit, non governmental educational institute. And it is not a private sector institute.

    Who founded RITI?

    The Regional IT Institute is a subsidiary of the Regional Information Technology and Software Engineering Center (RITSEC). RITSEC was founded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Arab Fund for Social & Economic Development (AFSED) and is hosted by the Egyptian government through the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC).

    What is RITI's capacity and facilities?

    RITI's premises are comprised of 4 buildings, 13 Classrooms and 2 top notch labs, which can accommodate from 12 to 40 participants per room. All classes are fully equipped with educational aids such as, white boards, flip charts, data shows, and projectors.

    What is the teaching methodology / or the learning style that is used in RITI?

    RITI depends on traditional face to face learning style as well as web based or online programs.
    All programs organized by RITI and/or in coordination with its partners are delivered using a variety of educational and training methodologies, tools and techniques to suit the market needs. This includes lecture sessions, hands-on-training, video based sessions, case studies, projects and field work. Among methodologies used: Competency-Based Models for Training Needs Assessment and Kirkpatrick Approach (Reaction, Learning, Behavior, & Results) For Training Programs Evaluation

    Is RITI tax exempted entity?

    Yes, RITI is exempted from all taxes except for Sales taxes

    Do you have any other branches than Zamalek Branch?

    No, so far we are only operating in Zamalek. In the future we might expand.

    Do you have a parking lot?

    Yes, we do have a parking lot but it only fits a limited number of cars, so the students who arrive earlier are most likely to find a parking spot. And there is no obligation on RITI to provide a parking spot for each and every car enters the premises.

    What kind of diplomas does RITI offer?

    All RITI’s long term diplomas are Professional Diplomas and all of them focus on different sides of business management.

    What is a Professional Diploma ?

    The Professional Diplomas benefit the participants on the functional level as they provide them with the adequate background needed along with the best practice in the field of study by furnishing real life case studies and examples and there are many educational aids used in the Professional Diplomas to enhance the learning experience such as role playing, group presentations, discussions, etc.

    What is the difference between the PMD and the PMP® Exam Preparation Course?

    The Project Management Diploma and the PMP® Exam Preparation course are both offered by RITI in cooperation with the Project Management Institute

    If I attended the PMD, should I take the PMP® too in order to be able to sit for the exam?

    No, the PMD furnishes both the profound knowledge of the field and also the tips to pass the PMP® exam and always refers to the PMBoK® Guide which is the main source of the exam.

    Does RITI offer the PMP® exam?

    No, RITI is a authorized training provider (ATP) at the PMI®, but only one center in each country is allowed to offer the exam by the PMI®, and in Egypt case it is the Amideast, Dokki.

    What are the conditions of taking the PMP® exam?

    • Bachelor Degree
    • Minimum three years/36 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 4,500 hours were spent leading and directing project tasks
    • 35 hours of project Management Education

    How long is my PMP® / PMD certificate valid for?

    There is no expiry date for the certificates.

    What is the difference between RITI™s Project Management Diploma® and any other PMD in the market?

    RITI was the first institute in the region to offer a long version of the PMP® Exam Preparation Course, and have the PMI’s® acknowledgement for it. We started in 2003 to offer the PMD, we have the largest pool of reputable qualified PMP®® certified instructors who not only have the certificate but have managed real project for very long durations. Also, the structure of the program is very well designed in a way that serves each knowledge area. In addition, our diploma covers the Microsoft Project Software which is the practical tool to implement the concepts

    Why are the classes of the HR / TOT diplomas long full day classes?

    To serve the practical nature of the diploma as it spends extensive time on practical hands-on teaching methodologies and activities such as group work, case studies, presentations, final projects, role playing, etc. as the long classes allow the time to conduct these activities while the short executive classes don’t.

    What is IMC (Industrial Modernization Center) and how can I get the fund?

    ·  The IMC is the acronym of "Industrial Modernization Center" that enables the Egyptian Industrial companies to get courses by funding a big percentage of the fees of RITI registered courses and the company will pay the remaining amount (cost share) after issuing the LOC "Letter of Commitment" and the company will get the stamped IMC receipt.
    ·  The participant should submit the LOC and the IMC receipt (signed and stamped from the IMC and the beneficiary company) to RITI Premises as original copies before the admission and payment deadline for each course.
    ·  The LOC expired after 90 days from the issued date.

    What are the prerequisites for my company to be an IMC member and what are the membership procedures?

    Is there any scholarships offered on the level of the Training Programs?

    Unfortunately not.

    What are the payment methods?

    All of the RITI Programs must be paid in Egyptian pounds cash or via check payable to (Regional Information Technology Institute) in advance.
    Note: RITI is exempted from Egyptian Taxes.
    Note: the participant can’t pay installments for any training program. The below mentioned diplomas only can be paid on the basis of each course not the whole program.

    Can you collect the fees from my office / home?

    This service is not available to collect the money or papers from other participants' organizations.

    Can I send someone with my documents or should I come personally?

    It's no problem at all to send someone with the right papers.

    What is the cancellation / withdrawal policy?

    It is mentioned at the end of RITI registration form. You can find it mentioned below:
    ·  Only two weeks before the beginning of the course, the applicant can be totally refunded,
    ·  Before the first day of the course  25%  will be deducted for registration process,
    ·  Other than that there is no refund.

    In what Languages RITI training programs are offered?

    Most of the programs are conducted in both English and Arabic Language. The international workshops are conducted in English Language only.

    Can I register online?

    The registration form can be sent via email to the participant and he/she can send it filled via email. However in some case, other original documents should be submitted.

    What is the attendance rate that allows me to be awarded a certificate in the training programs?

    You have to attend at least 75% of the duration of the program, and in case of the diplomas, you have to attend at least 75% of each course in the diploma.

    When do I take my certificate?

    I the last day of the program, and in case there is a project / presentation / assignment to be presented, you will take your certificate upon the success of your work.

    Should I submit all the admission papers in one visit?

    No, you can send us the application form via email, and come in a next visit to complete the papers. But all the papers and fees have to be submitted before the program's deadline. And the registration will only be confirmed upon payment.

    Should I present an English test score to join the training programs?

    No, we don't ask for language proof, but it's preferable to have an adequate level of English Language.
